I have installed this product on my 2001 7.3 and I bent the wires so they would stay away from gasket simply pushing wire is not enough because wire tension can push it back where you don't want it. Did my gaskets about 5 years ago 2019.

I have short term zero and long term %25. That means I have vacuum leak too or maybe something else because I have P0068& P0106 on my mercedes benz C250

Has anyone encountered this issue happening while the tranny is downshifting awkwardly going up hill. It was 96 degrees and sunny going up a 7% grade. Only time it has happened so far.

It's more of a driving style than anything. I have broken way more parts with my Northstar than my LS 3
@@SandCarServices i plan to drive hard but with a honda v6 and 35 tensor baja bug, so deciding between deco and standard if its worth the $1500

I went through 4 intake manifolds on my Ford Expedition 5.4L in 3 years, then found out that my mechanic was only using Dorman intake manifolds. The last time I needed one, Motorcraft was on strike with a 5 month backlog, so I had no choice. It works fine until I have to go up in elevation, from Phoenix 1,000 ft above sea level, to 7000 ft in northern AZ. I'm going to replace it with a Motorcraft as soon as I can get one.

Hello Ron, i am working on a 09 4.6L Intake is there any solutions to permanently plug the stupid rubber cap at the rear of the passenger side. yes Dorman problem but cant get a Ford OEM Intake anymore

With the current (1+ year backorder) of OEM Ford 5.4 manifolds, the Dorman is currently your only option for a new part. Seriously, I called the only four Ford dealerships in the country that might have new composite manifolds and the ones that did have one (1) in stock would not sell it to me. The only other viable solution (and what I ended up doing) is to find a used 1999 aluminum manifold. For '99+ trucks with the PI heads, only a 1999 manifold will work... '97-98 NPI manifolds do not seal properly.

136k 2001 expedition 4.6L. Cylinder #3 blew out. Used the duralast kit from autozone, diy it let see how many miles I get 😂

I been dealing with 2015 4.3l AFM 170K miles P0304 Watched everything on RUclips. Found this to to be rich in information. Thanks. Shop did everything swap coils plugs wires. Intake clean, smoker test for leaks. 150psi to 170 and nothing on leak down. Injector balance Used smoke from Mexico ( The good stuff) Nothing at removing the valve covers nothing found. Shop wanted $15K to replace engine. I paid got truck out. I pulled off valve covers to do my own eye to see if rockers moving. All seemed OK. I ran truck with cover off and slowing backed off rocker bolts 8mm 1/4 turn with misfire counter watching. Upon getting to 4th rocker from front on right side. 1/4 turn out misfire was gone. I played a little till rattle and then back tight 1/2 turn and zero misfire. How long with this last? Any day longer is better if I can get a few months get CA smog test passed I can get 2 years more. My puzzler is confused as to what was wrong? This truck since day one had a slight rough idle but NEVER A CODE till Nov 2023 at 168K miles. Could the valve Preload been just off from the factory?????? I could not have gotten here today without this and other RUclips sites. BTY to remove starter on Crew cab 4.3l 4x4 it must come up out though wheel well and with Frame bolt removed and heat shield removed. All other Silverado starters can drop below. This is too small area.
DID NOT WORK. 2015 LV3 HAS AUTOADJUSTER ROCKER THEY CAN NOT BE MODIFIED . NOW I NEED VALVE JOB AND LIFTERS WELL it was a joy for 5 mins till the rocker bolts got loose. I am a losser!!!!

If i open them and fisconnect electric plug to prevent closing will ot work. Or it will come up with the error?
You may have solved my problem! The engine doesn't start shaking until the vehicle heats up. I think coolant is being sucked into the combustion chamber.
So is the fix a head gasket replacement?

My 4.6 blew number 4. Yes, the DO. When I had the engine rebuilt, I had all 8 done. 4 threads are NOT eniugh, folks.
Just get on with it. Never heard such a blow hard just do it my way and now I'm gonna talk down to you like your a 3 year old and still never get to the point !! So listen and watch for 45 Mims to say something that could have been said in 3 mins.

Next time just replace the pulley and not the assembly will save you a lot of time and money
It was the tensioner on this vehicle that failed NOT the bearing in the pulley. But thanks.
